
Lemon - Citrus limonum
Lemon is one of nature's finest cure alls. This high in Vitamin C fruit is found readily in almost every home and is widely used in cosmetics, detergents and in the the food and beverage industry.
Lemon's fresh and uplifting properties acts as a tonic to many areas of the body, purifying and strengthening it. Studies show that the essential oil kills a wide range of bacteria and viruses while stimulating the production of the white corpuscles that fight infection. Used internally or externally it clears the mind and helps make the body stronger.
Lemon essential oil is cold pressed from the pith and peel from the fruit of the Lemon. Lemon juice is squeezed from the whole Lemon including the peel.
Drinking Lemon juice regularly can improve circulation and increase resistance to infection. It also strengthens the blood vessel walls, benefiting arteriosclerosis, weak capillaries and varicose veins. A bath with Lemon oil not only improves circulation but it is also good for arthritis and rheumatism.

Cautions: May cause skin irritation or sensitivity in some.
Do not use if the area of application will be exposed to sunlight
for 24 hours due to its phototoxicity.

Recipes
Lemon Lime Cleaning Powder
10 drops Lime essential oil
10 drops Lemon essential oil
1/4 cup Baking Soda
Add essential oils to baking soda and mix.
Cuts grease, acts as a mild abrasive cleaner.
Blemish Fighter
5 drops Lavender essential oil
5 drops Tea Tree essential oil
5 drops Lemon essential oil
Apply neat to blemish and watch them heal and dry up.
Foot Massage Blend
1 ounce carrier oil such as Sweet Almond
15 drops Clary Sage essential oil
10 drops Lemon essential oil
5 drops Lavender essential oil
Directions: Mix the oils well and store in an air-tight, dark glass container. Massage gently into the feet.
Honey Hot Toddy
1 tablespoon of Honey
1 shot of Lemon Juice
1 shot of Whiskey
Add all the ingredients to a coffee mug, fill with steaming
hot water, stir, and sip until gone.
Drink whenever coming down with a sore throat, head cold or the
flu.
